Official Bylaws
Article I: Name and Purpose
The name of this organization shall be the Texas Society of Pathologists' Assistants. The Society is organized to provide a forum for Pathologists' Assistants in Texas to collaborate on clinical excellence, professional advocacy, and educational advancement. We are pro-licensure and invite you to read our full statement.
Article II: Membership Criteria
Membership is open to all qualified Pathologists' Assistants residing and practicing in the State of Texas, and our allied partners, including those in related healthcare and laboratory professions. Categories include Fellow, Associate, and Student members, each with specific voting rights and professional requirements as detailed in our operational handbook.
Article III: Board of Directors
The Society shall be governed by a Board of Directors elected by the voting membership. The Board is responsible for the strategic direction, financial oversight, and policy implementation of the organization in accordance with state non-profit regulations.
Article IV: Financial Management
All funds of the Society shall be handled with full transparency. An annual financial report shall be presented to the membership, and all expenditures must align with the Society's mission and non-profit status under Texas state law.
